Expanding government
– Following WWI, the government seemed to be in control over the economies and the rights of people. In the U.S, Britain, and the Soviet Union, the government controlled all parts of industrial production. Everything seemed to be regulated for the war effort. Also during this time, the rights of certain minorities were violated and restricted. There was a lot of early racism and the media spread propaganda which made things for minorities even worse.
Women and War
– And Men were being deployed for the war effort, women in Russia, Britain, and the U.S took initiative and entered the workforce. In some places such as Britain, woman served in the armed forces. Most of the women worked in manufacturing and agriculture ad became the majority of the workforce in those areas. Their services during this time helped their status as citizens and partriots as well as lead to them gaining equal rights to men.
