Interesting footage from the WWII bombings in London. The Germans would mostly bomb at night as to avoid being shot down by anti-aircraft guns, so London had mandatory blackouts as to hide important buildings and homes from the bomber’s sight. Fires would rage throughout the city and there was much destruction and death tolls went into the tens of thousands.
